Papaya Plumbing
Our ethos is honest, upfront pricing. We aim to quote accurately and complete the agreed work without increasing the price.
Plumbing work can involve unforeseen issues, and where reasonably possible, we will absorb delays or additional effort required to complete the agreed scope of work.
Price changes or variations will only be proposed where extraordinary and unforeseen circumstances arise that materially change the scope, safety, or cost of the work, as outlined in these Terms and Conditions.
While we aim to complete work for the agreed price, plumbing work can involve hidden conditions. If we encounter unforeseen circumstances that require a variation:
Where a variation is required, we will:
Urgent work required to prevent damage, flooding, or safety risks may be carried out immediately, with costs explained as soon as practicable.
Where the customer supplies fixtures or materials, we do not warranty the product itself. Our responsibility is limited to installation workmanship only.
We will always try to identify compatibility issues early; however, some issues only become apparent once work has commenced.
If a customer-supplied product is incompatible, defective, or otherwise results in a change to the agreed scope of work that was not reasonably foreseeable or discussed prior to attendance, the job may need to be paused or rescheduled. In these circumstances, a $250 rescheduling fee may apply to cover time, labour, and scheduling costs.
For customer-supplied materials:
This clause does not limit any rights or remedies available to the customer under Australian Consumer Law.
We warrant that our work is carried out with due care and skill and complies with applicable standards. Workmanship is warranted for 12 months, unless otherwise required by law.
Where we supply products, we remain the customer's point of contact if a manufacturing defect arises. Products are supplied with the benefit of the manufacturer's warranty, and we will assist with warranty claims where applicable.
Where we supply products as part of the works:
This does not extend the manufacturer's warranty or cover damage caused by misuse, external factors, or unauthorised modification.
The customer must provide clear and safe access to the work area and accurate information about site conditions.
Unless specifically included in writing, cosmetic repairs or restoration (including walls, tiles, paving, landscaping, or paint) are not part of our price.
Due to the invasive nature of drain cleaning, existing pipe conditions may cause equipment to become stuck and unable to be retrieved. Where this occurs, we will consult and discuss options with the customer. In most cases, additional work will be required and may result in additional costs, including access or reinstatement.
If pipes are damaged, collapsed, deteriorated, or affected by root intrusion:
Clearing a blockage restores flow at the time of service but does not change the condition of the pipework. Unless expressly agreed in writing, we do not guarantee against future blockages.
Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
